Every professional completes identity verification before they can accept a single booking. There is no half-approved state in which someone can still take your money.
Payment is taken when you book and held in escrow. It is released only once you confirm the job is finished. If the work does not happen, the money does not move.
Change your mind more than two days ahead and you are refunded in full. Inside that window a published policy decides the split — not whoever argues hardest.
If a customer is not there, the professional waits fifteen minutes and is still compensated. If a professional never arrives, the booking is never completed and you are not out of pocket.

Where is StylistaUK available?
Anywhere in the UK where a professional covers your postcode. We match on real postcode distance rather than by city, so coverage grows street by street as professionals join rather than switching on a town at a time.
How do I know the person coming to my home is who they say they are?
Every professional completes identity verification before their profile can go live, and they cannot accept a booking until it has passed. Verification is not a badge they can apply for later — it is the gate to being listed at all.
When am I charged?
At the point of booking. The money is held rather than passed on, and is released to the professional only after you confirm the job is done.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancel more than 48 hours before your appointment and you are refunded in full. Inside 48 hours, a published cancellation policy decides how the amount is split, and you are shown that policy before you confirm the booking.
What happens if the professional does not turn up?
The booking is never marked complete, so the payment is never released. You are refunded.
What does it cost to work on StylistaUK?
Nothing to join, nothing to be listed, and no monthly fee. Commission is 10% of each completed job, dropping to 7% once you have completed fifty.
